Georgian election could be decided on incriminating videos

Georgians vote today in a parliamentary election that pits the ruling United National Movement party against Georgian Dream, led by the country’s richest man, Bidzina Ivanishvili. The run-up to elections has been controversial, in part because of a series of secretly-filmed videos exposing the horrifying and the bizarre. One showing severe abuse by guards at a Georgian prison raised international outcry, while another showing politicians deciding the fate of the country over red wine and meat dumplings, seemed more like business as usual.
