Snacking in the Eternal City? €500, Signore

A new law bans snacking in front of some of Rome’s most frequented monuments, with violations carrying a fine of up to €500. Snack-free zones include the marble fountains of Piazza Navona, the stone walls around the Pantheon and Via dei Fori Imperiali near the Colosseum. This comes on the heels of similar policies in Venice and Florence.
