  • Mary Jo Foley covers Microsoft for ZDNet, and is great at tracking changes to Microsoft products, as well as big-picture reporting.
  • Jordan Novet at CNBC covers Microsoft, and is consistently on top of quarterly earnings reports, big picture changes, and cloud competition.
  • Tom Warren is an editor at The Verge, covering Microsoft announcements, products, and financials.

Executives

  • Twitter is a good way to keep up with what executives are doing at Microsoft, but don’t expect any behind-the-scenes looks at the company. It’s mostly links to announcements and the occasional personal tweet. Follow Satya Nadella, EVP Scott Guthrie, chief product officer Panos Panay, Windows boss Joe Belfiore, and chief legal officer Brad Smith.

  • Take a first-hand look at what Microsoft is telling its investors by skimming the 2018 annual report.
