China has driven Apple’s growth in Asia, enough for the company to call it “an extremely exciting market.” Apple CEO Tim Cook gave a few more details about Apple’s success there in a conference call today, according to a Factset transcript:

  • Greater China accounted for 15% of Apple’s revenues, or $23.8 billion, in the 2012 fiscal year. That figure increased by more than $10 billion from the previous year.
  • In the fourth quarter, China accounted for $5.7 billion in revenue, or 15.8% of the company’s total.

Apple is also growing in Japan, which was the subject of another post today.
