German unemployment rose twice as much as forecast in October

German unemployment is rising at unforeseen rates as the eurozone crisis dampens growth and prompts companies to curtain expansion plans. The number of people out of work in October rose a seasonally adjusted 20,000 from September to 2.94 million, the Federal Labor Agency in Nuremberg said.
