Vietnam is luring US and South Korean tech companies away from China

Vietnam’s shipments of electrical machinery to the US climbed 58% in the first eight months of 2012 compared to the same period last year. China’s sales in the same category rose 11%, according to US International Trade Commission data. Intel and Samsung are among a growing roster of companies setting up in Vietnam to escape rising labor costs across much of the rest of Asia, from China to Thailand.
