China reports biggest trade surplus for nearly four years

China’s trade surplus grew to $32 billion in October on the back of an 11.6% year-on-year increase in exports, adding to the growing trickle of statistics suggesting that the Chinese economy is either recovering from its slowdown or at the very least making a “soft landing”.
