If you recently participated in the recent Facebook meme asking you to list the ten books that stayed with you, chances are yours was one of 130,000 status updates that Facebook just put together to make a list of users’ top 100 books.

Facebook took a “a de-identified sample” of status updates with the phrase “ten books” or “10 books” which appeared in last two weeks of August 2014. Whose updates were chosen? Facebook says 63.7% of these users were in the US, followed by 9.3% in India, and 6.3% in the UK. Women outnumbered men by 3.1 to 1, and the average age was 37.
