Kurdistan strikes oil export deal with Baghdad

Baghdad and Iraq’s autonomous region of Kurdistan have finalized a deal allowing renewed oil exports from Kurdistan. As part of the deal, Baghdad will resume paying companies working in Kurdistan for the oil they have already exported. The agreement could be the first step in resolving a crucial dispute that has threatened to unravel Iraqi oil policy.
