Watch a computer being assembled in less than one minute

In a quest to inspire the next generation of coders and engineers, Kano, a startup, has created a computer that’s simple enough for a child to build and sells for just $150. At Quartz’s The Next Billion conference in London, CEO and co-founder Yonatan Raz-Fridman showed how easy Kano’s DIY device is to assemble.

Raz-Fridman said children have wound up using the computers in ways he never expected.

“They build weather stations, they communicate with one another,”  he said. “They build their own messaging apps.”
