“There is still no resolution to the Southern Weekend mess.Reuters reported that Guangdong chief Hu Chunhua offered a deal in Chinese paper censorship row but the Wall Street Journal says that those talks have stalled. The publisher of The Beijing News (新京报) reportedly has resigned in protest (Shanghaiist) over the forced publication of a Global Times editorial about the Southern Weekend incident.”
