Non-Muslim extremists have killed twice as many Americans in the US as jihadists have since 9/11

Since 9/11, almost twice as many Americans have been killed in the US by non-Muslim extremists than by radical Muslims, according to the New America research center .

According to New America, since 2001, 48 Americans have been killed by far-right antigovernment extremists and white supremacists. In the same time period, 26 Americans have been killed on US soil by self-proclaimed Muslim jihadists.

The data includes the nine people killed last week in Charleston’s Emmanuel African Methodist Episcopal Church, by a white supremacist.
