Watch Jimmy Kimmel get all emotional about Cecil the lion

US late night TV show host Jimmy Kimmel joined the internet chorus outraged at the killing of a beloved Zimbabwean lion, Cecil, by US dentist Walter Palmer.

In his material about the incident during last night’s Jimmy Kimmel Live show, he called the act “vomitous” and cracked a few jokes: “Is it that difficult for you to get an erection that you have to kill things stronger than you?”

But when Kimmel asked his audience to donate to Oxford’s Wildlife Conservation Research Unit, the group that was tracking Cecil for a study, he choked up:
