A man and a woman were killed in a stabbing at an IKEA store in the city of Västerås, outside of Stockholm, and another man sustained life-threatening injuries, according to local news reports. Police took a suspect into custody, according to Swedish broadcaster SVT; an on-scene investigation is still underway.

The store’s manager told local media that the victims were “three seemingly ordinary visitors,” the news site The Local reported.

“The store is currently closed, as well as the entire Erikslund shopping center where the store is located,” IKEA said in a statement. “At this time, our thoughts go to the victims and their families.”
