Cockroaches inspire the creation of a cool robot

Cockroaches are horrible. While science has not proven this, it’s next to impossible to find anyone who disputes it.

Recently, though, a team of scientists at the University of California, Berkeley figured out that these bugs can actually teach us something. As you’ll see in the video above, they studied how exactly cockroaches are able to squeeze through tight spaces, and they came up with a robot that mimics their pliable exoskeletons to do the same thing.
