The lagging soda industry’s bright orange beacon might be Fanta

The American public may have fallen out of love with diet sodas, but they seem to have really taken to Fanta.

Created in Nazi Germany and now owned by Coca-Cola, the volume of Fanta sold in 2015 increased by 8.3% compared to 2014.  Diet Coke and Diet Pepsi showed the biggest drops in growth among the major brands, according to data in a new report by Beverage Digest.

As for soft drinks overall, it’s been a tough couple years. Americans are definitely drinking less of them:
