Kenyan court upholds Uhuru Kenyatta’s presidential election victory

After several weeks of tension over a disputed March 4 election, the supreme court ruled that it had been free and fair despite some irregularities and that Uhuru Kenyatta had beaten Raila Odinga for the presidency. “The decision cleared the way for Kenya’s richest man to take the top job in east Africa’s biggest economy, but left foreign powers with the headache of dealing with a leader charged with crimes against humanity at The Hague,” Reuters reports.
