Travis Kalanick, Uber co-founder and chief executive, transportation visionary, and runner-up for Time’s 2015 person of the year, does not have a valid driver’s license, he reportedly told attendees at the NOAH conference in Berlin on Wednesday.

Also, he owns a 1999 BMW M3 convertible with a broken alternator.

Uber was last valued at $62.5 billion and is the world’s most valuable startup. One of its much-touted goals is to make getting a ride so cheap and easy that people will give up owning cars.

Kalanick is clearly practicing what he preaches.
