Champtercier is everything you imagine a tiny French village nestled in the Alps would look like.

Until now, it’s population was only 793. But that’s changed in the last week as migrants from the now-dismantled refugee camp in Calais began resettling in the village. French authorities expect to resettle 100 migrants in Champtercier.

Some of the village’s residents are more comfortable with the change than others.
