A gun that lets you weaponize your tears

Designer Yi-Fei Chen built a gun for her frustrations. But the weapon doesn’t shoot bullets; it shoots actual tears.

The project came about during her time as a masters student at Design Academy Eindhoven in the Netherlands. Originally from Taiwan, Chen said she had a difficult time adjusting as a foreigner. She would burst into tears when she wasn’t able to speak with her professors about impossible assignment deadlines. So Chen channeled her sorrows into designing a gun that collects tears and freezes them into projectiles.
