Generally, when a home reduces its asking price by nearly 30%, buyers flock in. But when the home making that significant price reduction is the most expensive home for sale in the country, that doesn't open up the buyer pool quite as wide.
The house, a mega mansion in Bel Air, has sliced $40 million from its asking price, bringing it down to just under $100 million.

Known as La Fin, the property first hit the market in 2022. It currently belongs to a former emergency room director, Joe Englanoff.
The property spans more than two acres in the Los Angeles suburb, with a panoramic view of the city. It has 12 bedrooms and 17 baths as well as separate residences for staff and guests. It has a pool, of course — an infinity pool with a pop-up 23-foot LED screen. The garage comes with a six-vehicle elevator display.
Other amenities include a 44-foot chandelier that boasts 55,000 crystals, custom Italian furnishings, a fingerprint-based "command center" for security, and a 6,000-square-foot entertainment level, which includes a wine cellar (naturally), a vodka tasting room, and a cigar lounge.
The house also featured 30-person lounge area with a firepit, as well as a fitness center with a rock climbing wall, spa, steam room with backlit onyx, massage room, over a dozen spin bikes, and sound-proof cinema.
If you were to put down a $20 million down payment on La Fin, you could expect monthly payments to exceed $620,000.
Don't have the cash on hand to make the purchase? The seller will accept cypto, the listing says.
