The Suburban is a giant on the road and has a huge amount of storage. 2025 models will cost between $49,400 and $76,900 and get 19 miles per gallon.

"We measured an incredible 70 cubic feet of cargo room using our expandable box," CR said. "But buyers should be aware that the cargo floor is very high, so it can be challenging to lift items up."

CR doesn't always recommend Jeeps, which struggle on their reliability, but the Wagoneer is roomy. Priced between $59,945 and $76,945, it gets 18 mpg overall. CR said it could fit three large suitcases and a duffel in the trunk with the third-row seats up. And if that's not big enough, there's even an extended version that another more than a foot of space.

Though not as big as the Suburban, the Tahoe still has plenty of room. Its priced between $46,525 and $73,125 gets 18 mpg overall.

"And even when the third-row seat is raised, the cargo space behind it can handle many grocery bags or kids’ sports duffel bags," CR said.

Nissan Armada

The Nissan Armada is another option with plenty of room, although CR did have some complaints.

"The Armada is quick and quiet, but the ride is quite stiff. Handling is ungainly. High-end versions that have active suspension can lower the ride height for easier access," CR said. "The steering wheel buttons provide shortcuts for interacting with the touchscreen and driver’s information screen, but they are fussy to use."

It starts at just under $47,000.

Cadillac Escalade

The Escalade has the same base as the Suburban, but more luxury features.

"The regular-length Escalade has plenty of space for four to five passengers plus their luggage. Even with all three rows of seats raised and in use, the cargo area behind the third row can accommodate a few carry-on suitcases or duffel bags," CR said.

It starts at around $85,500 and gets 17 mpg.
