Costco: Fiscal Q2 Earnings Snapshot

ISSAQUAH, Wash. (AP) — ISSAQUAH, Wash. (AP) — Costco Wholesale Corp. (COST) on Thursday reported fiscal second-quarter earnings of $1.74 billion.

The Issaquah, Washington-based company said it had profit of $3.92 per share. Earnings, adjusted for non-recurring gains, were $3.71 per share.

The results topped Wall Street expectations. The average estimate of 14 analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was for earnings of $3.60 per share.

The warehouse club operator posted revenue of $58.44 billion in the period, which fell short of Street forecasts. Twelve analysts surveyed by Zacks expected $59.2 billion.
