Edison International: Q3 Earnings Snapshot

ROSEMEAD, Calif. (AP) — ROSEMEAD, Calif. (AP) — Edison International (EIX) on Wednesday reported third-quarter profit of $212 million.

On a per-share basis, the Rosemead, California-based company said it had net income of 40 cents. Earnings, adjusted for non-recurring costs, were $1.38 per share.

The results missed Wall Street expectations. The average estimate of four analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was for earnings of $1.46 per share.

The electric power provider posted revenue of $4.7 billion in the period, also falling short of Street forecasts. Four analysts surveyed by Zacks expected $5.39 billion.

Edison International expects full-year earnings in the range of $4.55 to $4.85 per share.
