The FTC is going after noncompete clauses
The Federal Trade Commission (FTC) and its chair Lina Khan are going after noncompete clauses: Contractual clauses that prevent workers from moving from one company to a supposed direct competitor.
One out of every five American workers is bound by a noncompete, which Khan argues is restricting their individual liberty and inflicting harm across the economy.
