ACHESON, Alberta (AP) — ACHESON, Alberta (AP) — North American Construction Group Ltd. (NOA) on Wednesday reported third-quarter earnings of $8.5 million.

On a per-share basis, the Acheson, Alberta-based company said it had net income of 29 cents. Earnings, adjusted for non-recurring costs, were 37 cents per share.

The results did not meet Wall Street expectations. The average estimate of three analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was for earnings of 45 cents per share.

The heavy construction and mining services company posted revenue of $145.2 million in the period, also missing Street forecasts. Three analysts surveyed by Zacks expected $154.8 million.
