Last winter I was wandering around Paris in the spirit of flânerie when my boyfriend and I popped into Shakespeare and Company’s legendary bookshop. This place has such a hallowed energy for writers—it’s about so much more than just selling books. This Christmas ornament of literary and feminist powerhouse Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie wasn’t for sale, so an honorary ’gram was the next best thing.
