Six Flags introduces regional park access, letting pass holders access more than one park

Six Flags had a pretty miserable 2025. Now the theme park chain is hoping enhancements to its annual pass program will draw in a greater number of visitors in 2026.
The company has announced that holders of its Gold Season passes will receive regional park access, meaning they'll be able to access more than just a single amusement park with their pass.

Passholders in the Northeast will be able to access Six Flags Great Adventure, Six Flags Wild Safari, Hurricane Harbor New Jersey and Dorney Park & Wildwater Kingdom with a single pass.
To further boost sign-ups, Six Flags is cutting the price of its Gold Season pass temporarily, charging the price for a Silver pass. Prices vary by park, but a Gold Season pass at Six Flags Great America (in New Jersey) is currently just $79, which is less than the cost of two daily tickets at the park.

While Disney $DIS and Universal both saw spikes to their park attendance last summer (in part due to the opening of Universal's new Epic Universe park in Orlando), Six Flags suffered in the second quarter of 2025, falling 9% from the previous year. Shares of the company are down 58% in the past year, but are up 19% year to date. Officials at the company blamed thunderstorms and high temperatures for the decline in attendance last year. Foot traffic at the parks rebounded in August, the company said.
