The 10 U.S. airlines that carry the most passengers

United States-based airlines carried more than 941 million people to various international and domestic destinations last year, according to data from the Department of Transportation. The data enthusiasts at StatsPanda recently looked into the stats to figure out which carriers had the largest chunks of that total.
Here are the 10 U.S. airlines that had the most passengers in 2023.
10. Republic Airways

Republic Airway carried 17.6 million international and domestic passengers in 2023. The year before, it carried 16.5 million passengers, representing an increase of 6.8%.
9. Frontier Airlines

Frontier Airlines carried 30.1 million international and domestic passengers in 2023. The year before, it carried 25.5 million passengers, representing an increase of 18.3%.
8. Alaska Airlines

Alaska Airlines carried 35.2 million international and domestic passengers in 2023. The year before, it carried 31.7 million passengers, representing an increase of 11.1%.
7. SkyWest Airlines

SkyWest Airlines carried 38.4 million international and domestic passengers in 2023. The year before, it carried 39.9 million passengers, representing a decrease of 3.8%.
